Steinkjer - Start Tour tourist information office is located close to the railway station. There are a couple of food shops open in the evening and at the weekends in town. Google maps provides a good town plan of Steinkjer. Tourist info can provide more detailed maps of the region and hopefully some information on the campgrounds not covered by their Kystriksveien guide.
